Mitulynska Daryna

Every year in the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, a large number of children with congenital heart defects undergo operations. However, paediatric cardio-surgery receives little to no government funding, surviving only with the support of charitable donations.

Congenital heart diseases are one of the main causes of early childhood mortality in developed countries and take more children’s lives than all childhood  cancers.

About half of all children with congenital heart disease require surgical treatment in early childhood, and 30% have critical defects which must be operated on during the first month of their of life.

Daryna is the ninth child in the big Mitulynskyh family.

Sadly, Daryna has a number of serious  congenital heart defects: an open arterial defect  and a hole in the heart amongst others, which call for immediate surgery. Daryna’s large family are unable to afford to pay for surgery. Thankfully, the Albion Aid Foundation helped to buy the necessary medicines and in cooperation with cardio-surgeons from the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular surgery the operation was successfully carried out.. As a result, Daryna is recovering successfully.

Daryna owes her life to the generosity of those who donate to the Albion Aid Foundation. Only together, can we give these children a real chance to survive.

Please donate. Your donation will save somebody’s life.
