Didyuk Yana

Tetrada Fallot is a complex disorder that occurs when the right ventricle is underdeveloped. As a result of this disorder, the pulmonary artery is narrowed, and in the intersection between the ventricles a hole is formed: the venous and arterial blood are displaced. Congenital heart defect, which occurs in 10-15% of all congenital defects along with early cyanosis, delayed development, shortness of breath and seizures, dizziness and fainting. Without necessary surgery children with this defect inevitably die.

The Amosov Institute advised Yanochoka’s mum that an  operation was the only possible option if Yana was to survive, but that Yanochka was too young for such a complex operation, so they would need to waita year. During that time it would be necessary to perform an operation called a system-pulmonary anastomosis as a temporary measure.

Unable to bear the loss of a young life, the Albion Aid Foundation paid for supplies for these supportive surgical interventions. Yanochka has undergone her operation and will soon go home to start her life properly. The Didyuk family are relieved and delighted that their baby girl has a chance to live and that the Albion Aid Foundation were able to make this a reality.
